Introducing Edward
While the past couple of months held many sleepless nights for us, September marked another important milestone in our family. Our little boy Edward arrived just 18 months after 'Baby Kate'- who most certainly is no longer a baby but a toddler in her own right.
Edward or Ted as we affectionately call him arrived on 16 September 2009 - the same day as a certain Minister Mentor LKY was born. According to our doctor, the delivery ward was full as many couples had planned to be induced on that day. For us, we could not be happier with the timing, cos with it being a Wednesday, Kev practically had a week off from work to spend with us after combining 3-days of paternity leave with the long Hari Raya weekend.
With Ted, I had an inkling that he would arrive the next day, so we aptly prepared for it. Labour this time round was blissful and surprisingly pleasant with heaven sent Epidural ALTHOUGH I would still think twice about expecting a third anytime soon ;).
Kate innately generous of heart, welcomed Ted quite happily and tries to offer him her pacifier whenever he is distressed. However, she does on occasions 'clobber' him when she gets irritated with his cries.
Baby Ted will be two months old come Monday. He is a chubby happy baby and a darling to look after (when he isn't colicky)

The Likeness is Uncanny
To relieve myself off some wifely duties, I just taught Kate how to feed her Papa GRAPES...

Kate @ Hard Rock Cafe
Kev was on leave today, so we went to Forum Shopping Centre to get some sand for Kate's little sand pit. For lunch, we went to Hard Rock Cafe just across the road.
It was Kate's first time at a themed restaurant.

Reigning Kate In
As most toddlers of 15 months, Kate is dashing around like a swift mobile these days. It is so hard to catch up with her, so we thought we'd try out a harness on her to reign her in.

Kate's First Term in Playschool
Our little social butterfly was getting visibly bored at home, so we decided to try her out at playschool so that she could play with other kids her age.
(Gosh we do miss having the Okas living next door to us... Quincy, Mia and Kate would have much fun together I am quite certain)
We signed her up for Mandarin PlayNest with Julia Gabriel's and she now goes there for 3 sessions a week. She has been enjoying it so far...

Hallo Again!!
Dearest Friends,
Sorry for not updating the blog for so long. Time passes too quickly. In the blink of an eye, we are in the middle of 2009 now.
Kevin, Kate and I have been well. We are happy to say that we are expecting again - a boy this time who is due in September. Kevin has been busy at work and spent a week in Scandinavia in May on a work trip. Since February, I started freelancing for The Straits Times, a local newspaper. This column features people who are living their passion. It gives me breathing space juggling Kate and the pregnancy, and an opportunity to meet new people.
Kate is a toddler now. She walks and babbles non-stop. She is so MUCH fun and I must say has developed a cheekiness like her father's. She'll be starting play school at the end of June which I hope she will enjoy.
We have created slideshows for each of the 3 months that have passed :) Enjoy!
